REGULAR Active status for all full-time

practicing physicians who hold a degree

of doctor of medicine or doctor of

osteopathy ($500 for SMCMA and $590

for CMA annual dues)

FIRST TIME NEW MEMBER: This

status is for those physicians who apply

for membership in CMA/SMCMA for the

first time.  This is a one-time 50 percent 

reduction in dues for the first year only.  The 

second year of membership is discounted by 

25% ($817.50).

GOVERNMENT: This status is for those

physicians who are 1) full-time employees

of any federal, state, or local government

agency, 2) commissioned officer on active

duty.

HOUSE OFFICER: The physician must be

an Intern, Resident, or Fellow. ($15 for SMCMA

and $35 for CMA).

MEDICAL STUDENT: Must be an enrolled

student at a School of Medicine.  ($20 for

SMCMA and $20 for CMA).

65+ YEARS OF AGE: Members who are

65 years of age or older are eligible for

half dues, IF THEY WORK 20 HOURS OR

LESS PER WEEK.

AMA membership dues (optional).

Dues payment may be included with

SMCMA/CMA dues payment.

PRORATION of dues is offered on

a quarterly basis if joining mid-year.
