The House of Delegates establishes broad policy for the Association and elects CMA's officers. The House debates year-round on resolutions and reports dealing with myriad medical practice, public health and CMA governance issues in addition to creating policy on key issues at its annual conference. Policies adopted by the House are implemented by the Board of Trustees. For more details on the composition and functioning of the House of Delegates, consult the Delegate Guidebook. The most fundamental responsibility of delegates is to represent their constituents in the House of Delegates by actively participating in delegation caucus meetings and online testimony, and in attending all sessions of the House.
