119th Meeting of the Members December 30, 2023 Areas of interest(s): engagement, membership The 119th Annual Meeting of the Members of the San Mateo County Medical Association was hosted virtually on December 21, 2023. The annual membership meeting is intended to provide member recognition, introduce incoming SMCMA Leadership, and keep members informed about current association initiatives and future plans. During this year’s meeting, Dr. Uli Chettipally was presented with the 2023 SMCMA Distinguished Service Award and longstanding milestone members were introduced, including: 50-Year SMCMA Member: Betty Miller, MD 30-Year SMCMA Members: Subha Aahlad, MD; Mark Beltran, MD; Alberto Bolanos, MD; Marian Kim, MD; Spencer Lowe, MD; Rachel Malina, MD; Donna Ornitz, MD; Robert Perez, MD; Jeffrey Schubiner, MD; and Sally Yu, MD The meeting also celebrated the term of 2023 SMCMA President Dr. Aditi Patel, as she received Congressional recognition from both Congressman Kevin Mullin and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo as well as framed resolutions from the California Legislature and San Mateo County Board of Supervisors for her service as SMCMA President. The gavel of leadership was passed to Incoming President Dr. Cynthia Cooper, who introduced the incoming 2024 Board of Directors and recognized outgoing 2023 Board Members for their service.
