Help Shape the Future of Organized Medicine

The San Mateo County Medical Association (SMCMA) has three opportunities to provide input into the direction and future of the organization, while also honoring those who have made significant contributions. We are seeking recommendations for vacancies on the SMCMA Board of Directors and as representatives to the CMA House of Delegates, as well as nominations for the SMCMA Distinguished Service Award.

SMCMA Board of Directors
The SMCMA Board of Directors is comprised of 13 members, representing a variety of specialties and modes of practice. The Board of Directors sets the direction and priorities for the SMCMA, creates outreach and community programs, develops policy positions for the CMA, and provides a voice for the physician community within the county.

CMA House of Delegates
The CMA House of Delegates is the principal policy-making body for the CMA. The SMCMA is represented by delegates who meet annually to debate and act on resolutions and reports dealing with myriad medical practice, public health, and CMA governance issues. As a delegate, you will represent the interests of your fellow physicians in San Mateo County.

SMCMA Distinguished Service Award
SMCMA is seeking nominations for physicians who have gone above and beyond in their involvement with the local medical and SMCMA communities. The SMCMA Distinguished Service Award is presented at the SMCMA Annual Gala.
