Medical Office Staff Wage & Salary Survey - In an ongoing effort to provide you with information to help manage your practice, the San Mateo County Medical Association surveys members . regarding salaries and benefits provided to office staff. The information collected through this survey can assist SMCMA members in establishing competitive levels of compensation and benefits. Physician members who participate receive complimentary copies of the survey. Physician-Patient Mediation - The SMCMA serves as a mediator between patients and physicians by reviewing patient grievances. We attempt to resolve issues before they escalate to the Medical Board of California and potential lawsuits. This service is offered through SMCMA‘s Professional Relations, Medical Review and Advisory and Fee & Insurance Mediation Committees. According to most professional liability insurance carriers, a great number of lawsuits are due to poor communication or miscommunication between patients and their physicians.
