2025 SMCMA Family Picnic Highlights August 20, 2025 Areas of interest(s): camaraderie, family, physician, picnic On August 2, 2025, SMCMA hosted its annual Physician Family Picnic at Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo. The event welcomed 46 local physician families and more than 100 attendees, bringing together physicians, their families, and friends for an afternoon of connection and fun. Now in its third year, the picnic has grown steadily since its launch in 2023. Designed to foster camaraderie among physicians across specialties, practice types, and career stages, the gathering offers a relaxed, family-friendly space to connect outside of clinical settings. While physicians networked and shared experiences, children enjoyed a range of activities – including a bouncy house, art station, face painting, and glitter tattoos – alongside a catered barbecue. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, the Physician Family Picnic continues to be offered at no cost, ensuring that all physicians can participate without financial barriers. We believe camaraderie and collegiality are essential tools that promote physician well-being.
