Held in San Francisco, the roundtable brought together physicians, hospital executives, and community health advocates to address some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare today — including the extension of ACA tax credits, affordability and access to care, Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform, and telehealth coverage. Congressman Mullin emphasized the importance of collaboration between policymakers and frontline medical professionals to ensure that federal policies reflect the realities of patient care. SMCMA leaders shared insights from the physician community, urging Congressman Mullin to remain steadfast in supporting the extension of ACA tax credits and highlighting the hardships physicians and patients have faced since the expiration of key telehealth services on October 1 due to the government shutdown.
