Mason, MD was selected as the 2025 recipient of the San Mateo County Medical Association’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his dedication to patient care and advancing organized medicine through leadership and advocacy. Dr. Mason was honored at SMCMA’s Annual Meeting of the Members on December 11, 2025. We thank Dr. Mason for his dedication to patient care and for strengthening organized medicine through exceptional leadership and advocacy. A highly respected physician, tireless advocate, and pillar in the community, Dr. Mason has earned longstanding respect and trust throughout San Mateo County, consistently delivering high-quality care with professionalism and compassion. His unwavering commitment to organized medicine is evident in his service on numerous professional boards and committees, where he has championed equitable access to healthcare, supported physician well-being, and advocated for systemic improvements across the field. His ability to inspire colleagues has left a lasting imprint, paving the way for future generations of physicians. This award honors his extraordinary contributions and celebrates the values of service, integrity, and excellence that define his enduring impact on the profession.
