Board service includes quarterly board meetings along with periodic information requests, correspondence, and grassroots advocacy. The majority of meetings are conducted virtually. Directors on the board are also expected to participate in society events and serve as ambassadors of the association. A realistic estimate of the time outlay is 2-3 hours per month.

If you are interested in becoming involved to represent your profession and colleagues, please complete the Board Nominations form and SMCMA staff will reach out to collect the required information. Applications for service are accepted year-round and self-nominations are encouraged.
